Child sexual abuse, not a new problem

Watching ancient TV reruns, “The Marcus Welby M.D. Show” had the assault of a boy as their story line. Yeah, it’s TV, but a sad reminder that we can’t relax. We must be vigilant for the sake of kids.

St Francis Festival of Trees 2010, Greenville, SC

As a holiday fund-raiser, St Francis Hospital sponsors an annual Festival of Trees. Dozens of trees are set up at the Hyatt Downtown and in other areas of downtown Greenville, SC. Businesses and groups sponsor trees and/or decorate them. We have enjoyed viewing the beautifully decorated trees for years. This year Protect Kids Ministry has decorated one. Our theme is “Jesus Loves All the Children of the World”. If you are in town, come and enjoy the tree. And tell others about Protect Kids Ministry. We want to get into our community and help equip adults and organizations on how to protect kids by preventing child sexual abuse and by preparing ourselves to address abuse cases in the most healing, helpful way possible.
