Blankets of Hope party

In July we (Protect Kids Ministry team) were able to join a Defenders for Children event. They plan to provide 800+ blankets for Guardian Ad Litum volunteers to give children coming out of their homes into the foster care system in Greenville County, SC. Just $10 for materials, bring friends and have an old-fashioned quilting-bee-type evening of gathering round, knowing your fun will bring comfort to a needy child. (snacks are generously provided by local businesses – i.e. Chick-Fil-A and Subway.)The next event is scheduled for September 30. Check it out at Defendersforchildren.org.
